Meg's Meandering Monday

You may have noticed that lately my posts contain lots of photos. That's because I am either too drunk or too depressed too down to write. [But not that down Daughter--if you are reading this--as I have you and your brothers. And of course I never drink and drive]

Yes, folks, stuff is happening. But I am trying to keep things in perspective. This past Thanksgiving I made a list of things I am thankful for, and on the top of the list is the fact that I don't have to work outdoors in this shitty cold, gray Midwest weather.

And because it is the season of giving, and giving is supposed to combat the blues, I did one of those impromptu acts of kindness. Because, Internets, what could be worst than going door-to-door in sub zero temperatures and having to deal with vicious dogs OK, I only received one citation for my black lab and thank God my last name begins with a C or else I would have had to sit in that courtroom with all the losers of my city for six hours.

Anyway, now when the Gas Dude comes to read my meter, he is bound to crack a smile:

I, too, am extremely grateful I don't have to work outdoors. Hope you're not feeling too down.

Yours was one of the first blogs I read when I started blogging. I laughed out loud as I was reading your post, something not a lot of people can make me do. I don't want to overstep here, but I hope things look better for you soon. ~ tricia

Yes, we have frost here in my neck of the woods. Winter takes away the old with it, some people say.

& that's especially good if you're watching from the toasty indoors.

You're so giving in this holiday season. I'm sure the meter man will appreciate it.

And, of course, you'd have to mention my Meandering Monday, when I'm running behind...and not feeling very meandery (sp? existence of such a word?). Off to get that feeling in my funny bone.

At least you don't have to lay anything out for the lawn guy until spring.

Sorry you're going through blues.

I'm bracing myself for a lovely winter storm we're supposed to get tomorrow. I'm already trying to plan my day so I go outside as little as possible. And I'm counting my not being on the road with all the other idiots as my gift to humanity. ;)

Hi Meg !

I've been tagged by one of those "meme" things, and I'm supposed to tag seven other random blogs. So I go to the random blog generator website, and out of the millions of blogs out there, yours comes up! What are the odds??

If you decide to play along, just check the rules on my blog.

I always enjoy reading your posts. Thanks.
