Joe the Plumber Lives, Breathes and Blogs!!!

The morning after the debate I was bemoaning the fact that it's always Joe the Plumber.  Why not Jane the Plumber, I said out loud at the breakfast table? Or Julius the Plumber? Or Jesus the Plumber?

I mean how white bread sexist can a half-black guy raised in Indonesia get?

Then Teen Who Knows It All says, Mom, Joe the Plumber is a real guy and he lives here in Toledo.

Of course I knew that.  I just hadn't had my coffee yet.

I'm sure you all know by now that Joe the Plumber [quotation marks] is really Joe Wurzelbacher from just outside my hometown of Toledo, Ohio.  Yep the city that made national headlines when our Mayor suggested that deaf people move out to the airport, now gives you Joe the Plumber:

And I'm sure you all know that Barack Obama was here for a few days preparing for the debate and going door-to-door canvassing. Which is also very cool.

Anyway, I'm sure you all know that Obama and Joe chatted about Joe buying a plumbing business and paying more in taxes. And that Obama replied, "It's not that I want to punish your success.  I want to make sure that everybody that is behind you, that they have a chance for success, too."  Which is very cool.

But here's something you might not know: 

Joe the Plumber is a blogger  [exclamation point]. 

That's right. He has a blog!!

And here's the best part: It's called Joe Plumber's Blog.

And that is very, very, very, very cool!

But not as cool as Obama going door-to-door in Toledo.
